L. HALL
Rodney L. Hall is Director, President and serves as Chief Lending Officer of Georgia Commerce Bank as well as Georgia Commerce Bancshares, Inc. Established on July 1, 2003, Georgia Commerce Bank is a full service bank primarily serving the needs of metropolitan Atlanta’s business community as well as the professional and executive market.
Mr. Hall previously served as Senior Vice President of First Union National Bank of Georgia and was responsible for Relationship Management in the Financial Services Division of Corporate and Investment Banking. Mr. Hall originally joined First Union in Atlanta in 1988 as a Commercial Banking Manager with a team of bankers covering small to medium size privately held businesses in the North Atlanta market area. In 1995, Mr. Hall was named the Corporate Banking Sales Manager for the multi-industry group at First Union Bank for the State of Georgia.
Prior to arriving in Atlanta, Mr. Hall started his banking career in Dallas, Texas in 1982. He held both Vice President and Senior Vice President positions after completion of the Commercial Officer Management Training Program at InterFirst Bank Dallas in 1983.
He earned a bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance in 1982 from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. In addition, Mr. Hall earned a graduate Banking degree from Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware in 1987.
Mr. Hall currently serves on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI). BDI helps people with disabilities and disadvantages to become fully participating and engaged members of the community.
Mr. Hall has served as past member of the Board of Directors of the Marathon, Florida Chamber of Commerce and Marathon Rotary Club. He also completed Leadership Monroe County and served on the Board and Finance Committee of the Florida Land and Sea Trust. In addition, Mr. Hall presently serves as the Finance Chairman of the Glenn Abbey Civic Association and Treasurer of the Alpharetta High School Dugout Club. He is also a member of the Angelo State University Alumni Association.
Rodney and his wife, Kim, are the proud parents of their son, Taylor.
